Racism: Looking for Trouble?

Pepsi Super Bowl Ad: Ok reality check.. No question there is a major oversensitive-overreaction to a simple commercial. I caught this news blip about outrage over a Pepsi ad. Now personally I avoid Pepsi like the plague, notice how Pepsi even changed their logo to compliment Obama’s logo? Yet the black community is having a fit over a Pepsi Ad. They are attacking one of their biggest supporters.

Why is it you can have a room with (white, black, Latino, Asians, etc)… and only the black person will pick out the black-person in advertising? (especially if they observe something negative). The rest of the people in that same room would see the Pepsi ad as a couple sitting on a park bench, and the man flirting with a pretty female. Only black people would see the angry woman as a black-stereotype. Until they point out the couple is black, seriously it would not even be obvious to me.. just like those who see anyone opposing Obama as racist, those people dislike him not because he is black, but because he is incompetent (and a laundry list of issues).

So dear black people, get over yourselves… please. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

Hmmm. Missed that one. Commercials? what are they? Ever since we got the Fios, I haven’t seen more than a second of each commercial…. Amazing how quickly you can get through shows – take Big Bang – only 19 t0 20 minutes of actual show…

I did not catch it either.. of course I would never watch the super-bowl.. but I did catch this story.

As far as normal commerical programming.. we don’t have fios here, but we do have netflix.. and we still have tivo..nothing like fast forwarding past commercials. Though sometimes I am fascinated by advertising and will catch some..
