Economic Issues: What’s Next?

Suffering states are looking at cuts to their colleges, anywhere from staff to entire campsuses.

MSNBC: many states are now considering more drastic measures such as closing departments or entire campuses, curtailing student enrollment and laying off staff — even tenured professors.

Reading the rest of the article, I imagine this is a type-o.. where they note CA’s 2nd highest,… employment rate, I am hoping they mean “un” employment, because if they have an employment rate of 12.4% well yike!

California isn’t far behind, with the nation’s second-highest employment rate — 12.4 percent as of January, the most recent figures available
