If I were President.

Posted: October 20, 2011 in Uncategorized

I was thinking about the poor excuse for Presidents over the course of my life time (and even before I was born). I was thinking about how the position of President morphed from concern for this country and ability to lead into a popularity contest and a career politicians ultimate stepping stone.  The race for President has become more about who can raise more campaign funds. The entire point of the President has been lost.

Look at Obama, his entire life has involved political stepping-stones, the time spent in any position was just a rung to campaign for the next. No wonder he seems baffled about the next election, it does not give him anything more… and where does he go (up) from here? What would he campaign for next term?

The career politician is an issue, and maybe that mold needs to be broken. I am not a politician, but I am politically aware. I do not know everything, by any means, but I want to know, and I will ask questions. I see at ground level so much of what is broken in our country and I have solutions, maybe I should run for President?

1st Eliminate Unions. These are a source of so many things killing our country and economy. Look at the products resulting from unions… our domestic auto industry once was great, those who built the vehicles were proud, the stronger unions became the more the quality and reliability declined. Now so much of domestic vehicles comes from Mexico, Canada & China. It has become cheaper to ship in the parts and pieces of our own vehicles, why is that? The Unions (and our government). Eliminate the Unions, bring back pride in the product, and we will improve the quality of the vehicles, we will improve the economy, and decrease unemployment. Look also at the education system, Unions have made teachers into career teachers, not concerned about the students, just concerned about getting a paycheck and how much they can get.. period. Teachers, good teachers, are valuable, and sadly rare. The education system does not need a union, and the result is destroying the future (children). Unions are political mobs, they do not exist to benefit the employee or this country.

2nd Eliminate the Free Trade Agreements. There is a point of having good international relationships, but it should not come at a cost to our country, the people of this country or our future. The Free Trade has become a way to filter our jobs overseas. We need to find better ways to maintain good international relationships but not at the cost to the US.

3rd Crime. We need to eliminate the million tiers of crime. There are too many loopholes that result in people literally getting away with murder. No “hate crime” since all crime is not due to love. No “insanity plea” since even momentarily a person is insane when involved in their crime. No “under the influence” since like insanity and hate, it is the action that is the factor not the state of mind when performing the act. When people feel there is a loophole they let go of the control and common sense they normally have, and if they don’t have that to begin with, all the more reason they should be locked up or eliminated, since they can not be reformed and it will be highly likely they will repeat their crime. Yes I am pro-death penalty, but for those states that are against it they should have an actual life without parole sentence (not 20 years, but life which means till death).

4th Marriage. All legally recognized unions between two committed, consenting adults should be recognized as Civil Union. Marriage a personal choice for the couple to have a religious ceremony, identified by their religious entity. Government should not be involved in the religious choices of individuals, and just the legal aspect, which would make these unions “Civil Unions”. This would eliminate the issue raised by those who do not like the idea of same-sex unions being called marriage, if it is to be called that it will be between the couple and their church, not between them and the government.

5th Discrimination & Affirmative Action. These need to be eliminated as well. An employer should not feel required to hire or not fire an unqualified individual. This is damaging to that business, and again to the economy. Just like when a person is looking for a physician, they are looking for the best physician they can afford, they are not looking for someone who fits a specific race/religious/gender profile, they are looking for the best person. Just like the employer benefits by choosing the best qualified individual. These restrictions may have had a purpose at one time, but they have been used and abused by those who want to be paid just for existing vs what they are qualified to do.

6th Reduce Government. When the government gets involved in any issue this country experiences, they extend those problems and further restrict this country. Think back to Prohibition, it killed a major source of jobs, increased crime, and then we had the Depression. When we had the Depression, they got involved with massive spending which extended and intensified the Depression. The government’s answer to the depression was the Welfare system, that has been used and abused by generations since.  Government got involved in the housing market, forcing banks to lend to those who could not afford homes… we then had the housing boom, then as those who could not afford those homes went into foreclosure we had the bust. The government keeps thinking they can fix it, when all we need is for them to keep their hands off the housing market,& keep their hands out of the banks. The government needs to take its tentacles out of business, out of banks, and out of the homes of America.

7th Welfare System. What was intended to be a short-term assistance during the Depression, has instead grown, and expanded. Those on Welfare have discovered they can do better on Welfare vs working. They have found ways to milk more out of the system, and the system keeps giving them new options to get more. My choice would be to eliminate the Welfare system, but I will allow for maybe a 3 month limit as emergency transitional assistance. The problem with Welfare is it looks like we have more people in need that we actually have, because of the way people take advantage of the system. If you remove the crutch, they will figure out how to walk again. It may be tough, but they will become stronger for it. We need to stop expanding the benefits, we need to drastically shrink them. Our economy would improve, and our country would improve.

8th Health Care. No government involvement. No Medicaid. What we need in this country is for insurance to cross state lines, absolutely, and the pre-existing factor to be eliminated. But we do NOT need the government to control or be involved in this. Just allow for these two factors and everything else will come together. The competition between companies is what keeps prices down and improves the product. Why did I say no Medicaid, with drastically reducing Welfare part of that would be health assistance during that 3 month emergency transition, and with the improvement in insurance competition the options will become more affordable. Medicaid has become an argument against government health care, because of the limitations, the choice of facilities and physicians… Medicaid also acts as a mandate for coverage, and there simply should be no mandate for health coverage. If we free up the system, it becomes more affordable, there can be more options, and better options.

9th Guns. This is a tricky issue, since those who do not know about guns fear them, they want to restrict them, and do not understand the 2nd Amendment. One they need to realize the police department does not exist for their personal protection, that they the individual is solely responsible for their own personal protection. Look at areas that have gun-bans, or are “gun-free” , look at the crime rates in those areas. Remember also that gun-bans, and gun-laws are only restricting law-abiding citizens, not the criminal. A criminal exists to break laws. I would start with more education on guns, gun safety, and self-defense.

10th Education. The education system needs to go back to basics. Blending class rooms with people with learning disabilities, and the no-losers policies need to be removed. Those with learning disabilities need additional time and assistance, and that time takes away from the regular students, this hurts both groups. Classes should be grouped by educational need or excellence, blending class rooms holds back the excellence of the stronger students, and stalls those who need more help. This is not an insult to any group, this is simply offering the best education for each child. The concept of losers/winners, failing/passing, red ink, or anything else that could “hurt someone’s feelings” is making children weaker, and unable to handle any disappointments later in life. If a child is not doing well at something it can either challenge them more to work harder, or to focus on what they are stronger at. If they simply do not know they are not doing well, because “there are no losers”, how can they excel at anything? There needs to be more concentration on the basics of education, and eliminate any of the political fluff (i.e. enviromental politics, diversity, or other political favorites of the day). Plus eliminating the unions, and having teachers who want to teach, vs just a job.

11th Immigration. For anyone out there confused by the concept of “ILLEGAL” it means non-lawful, or against the law.. in other words breaking-the-law. We welcome people to this country by legal means. One change I want to see, birth should not be an instant green-card. The legal status of the parents is what should make a child a citizen or not, not what soil they were born on. This concept is the gaping loophole in our immigration law, and that loophole needs to be eliminated.  Employment issues & Legal-Citizens, there needs to be a way for employers to verify the legal status of their employee. Maybe something set up like a credit card machine, they can just run their ID through? These could be accessed at a local employment office, if the can not afford a unit in their office.

12th Voting: Mandatory to show an ID to vote. Why is this even up for debate? Every time I go to vote, I want to show my ID, because it makes sense.. I feel strange that there is not any verification of who is voting.

13th Abortion. If we are going to allow a free-for-all abortion option, the same clinics can offer suicides as well. The abortion issue has been abused. Women’s libbers want people to believe it is a “Right”, when instead it is leftovers from the sexual revolution, anything goes, no responsibility era. It is not about “choice” it is not about “rights” and it is not about “women’s health”. If it were about women’s health, then all women would be “requiring” an abortion. Instead an abortion is the result of poor choices, lack of responsibility, lack of self-respect, and ignorance. Do Women’s libbers really want women to believe that those are their “Rights”, to be irresponsible, make bad choices, and remain ignorant?? A woman’s CHOICE and RIGHT is self-respect! If she is using abortion as a birth control option, if she is too ignorant to realize how she can become pregnant (or contract a disease), if she so sexually active (and out of control) that she has such “accidents”.. these are much bigger educational/emotional & mental  issues, not rights or choices. Abortion should ONLY be due to medical necessity  (danger to the mother or child situation) or due to a crime (rape). Abortion is the exception and should not be a law or rule.

14th Taxes: Something to be reviewed. After government shrinks, Welfare shrinks, Unions eliminated, our jobs back on our soil, and the economy back on track the financial requirements for this country will need to be reviewed and restructured.

15th International: We are not here to police the Earth, we are not here to fix other countries, we are not here save the world. We need to stop trying to make friends with our enemies by exposing our soft under belly. We need to realize who are friends are and maintain those relationships. But none of these things means selling our country, giving away our economy, or opening our door to everyone and anyone. We need to be aware of what is going on in the good & bad of the world, but we do not need to be a friend to all. We do not need to apologize for our past, or this country being great. We need to be proud of our country, and not ashamed. I find it bizarre that our country seems to believe it is here to be the resource for all countries.

Summary Back to Basics: Everything goes back to basics, the government, laws and the schools. These have become too entwined and complex. Too many loopholes in law, too much overreaching of government, and too much politics in school. The government also could use a lot of fat-cutting. There needs to be term limits for all positions, too many voters just vote based on familiarity vs choice.

Maybe this country needs someone who is not a career politician and just a regular citizen?

Life or Death?

Posted: October 18, 2011 in Uncategorized

I have been thinking about some of the insanity and hypocrisy out there, there are people who protest the death penalty and treatment of prisoners, others raising support against suicide, then there are those who want to allow illegal immigrants the same (or more) rights of US citizens, and those who support abortion.. including late-term.. clarification on late-term, a fully squirmy & alive baby being put to death or treated like medical waste.

How can there be people who defend abortion but there still can be people against the death penalty and suicide?

How can we have people who support laws yet we have people want rights for those who break our laws? IE those who defend prisoner rights (vs victim rights) and those who think those who break our laws to enter our country and live a life side stepping our laws deserve the same rights as US citizens who follow the law, pay taxes, and are here legally? Add that those people confuse what an immigrant is vs someone who is ILLEGAL (i.e. someone who breaks our laws).

Think about those who are involved with the Occupy Protests. Most do not even know what they are protesting, they are there just for social reasons, or a way to whine. They are proud of their turn out, and how they are infesting other cities, but what does that prove? That tells me that these same people who are protesting corporations sure know how to make used of corporations… the tools & outlets of communication and media are corporations. It tells me that they have a lot of people who are out of work, or don’t want to work, and just want to hang out in the dirt holding their hands out with demands. As a common protest yells.. What do we want? They want to be perpetual toddlers, they want to be fed, clothed, changed, and given what they want, when they want it. These are the result of the 1980s bungee cord leashed children, tons of safety devices, no red ink, no losers, “fairness” and other society decaying wishy-washy garbage.

There is madness run amuck, when people think abortion is a right, when they think criminals deserve rights, and when they think that socialism is a good thing.

The decay and madness of our country has been a process that has taken many Democrats to create.. FDR to Carter to Obama specifically. Obama has gathered the weapons of the past and thrown them with deadly accuracy at our future, which has given us blow-back to the present.

The protestors, may be able to pick out some news highlights they skimmed from their twitter accounts, and are rolling with it, but seems none of them actually know the foundations or full stories about what they are protesting . This is proven when they have been asked what they are protesting and what resolutions they desire. They simply do not know. They see the banks and corporations as evil, why? because they saw a few characters of text that told them so. Do they even know what those corporations are? No, because they are still relying on those corporations to make their argument. Imagine if the protestors had to live with out the big corporations they think are so evil, with out the banks, with out all these things they relate to greed… anything that has had success.

Simply the protestors need to live like Amish, they need to make their own clothes, from the animals they raise, that they shear, and spin the threads to make the fabric, to create their clothing…. they need to raise the crops to feed those animals, as well as to feed their own selves,… they need to create the metal to make the tools, they need to cut the wood to construct their home, they need to melt the wax to create their light,… the life of Amish people defines the equal life they claim to desire. It is a life where no one achieves more than another, they do not advance in technology, they share with the commune, they do not accept from the outside world. The way the protestors are living, they are asking/demanding for people to give them things.. they need food and supplies donated to them, but do they realize how those supplies & food are created, they are made by corporations.. if they eliminate those corporation created donations, the option is to live like the Amish.

There sure are a lot of things I would ask the protestors. I would ask what they enjoy in life. Travel, sports, vacations, hobby, cars, driving, music, technology, fashion, movies, tv, luxury, etc. I would ask them to think about the corporations involved in creating those things. That those things improved and advanced over the years due to businesses that became more successful and more profitable, the thing they call greed. I would ask can they live with out those things? Could they live like the Amish?

I hear people who attack corporations for greed, that they are hoarding their money, they won’t spend, they won’t hire. A successful business knows when to spend, when to hire, when to expand… and when to hold back on these things. The businesses that have opted to spend, merge, expand, and go on a frenzy are the ones that we see closing up due to that failure. So are the protestors celebrating & demanding failure?

There is a point to every level of existence. We all can not have all knowledge and all skills, we turn to people who have focused their life into a specific skill. A doctor focused on medicine, but that does not mean he knows about cars, so he turns to a mechanic. The mechanic is skilled with cars, but may not be great at cooking so he turns to the baker/cook. The cook make be incredible with food, but can not sew a stitch, he turns to the tailor. We have more and better thing because of those who focus on what they are good at and can share those skills. When we look for help, we do not look for the person who failed at it.. we want the best we can afford. We did not stop with the very first computer, we looked to have it expanded, improved, faster, smarter, lighter, smaller, etc. Our automobiles we wanted them to be more efficient, to last longer, to require less maintenance, and to be safer. We can admire a Model T, but would you want to still commute in one? Or would you want to still be traveling with a horse and wagon? It might be novel and neat, but not on a daily basis. We have the convenience of going to the grocery store for food, vs raising our own crops, raising our own livestock, butchering them, and then storing that food to sustain us for the winter, along with keeping the livestock healthy and alive.

Excellence should be rewarded, not condemned.

The argument on what is wrong with the current system, is also ironic… while protestors attack the corporations and banks, and want the government to handle more… This is where it is obvious that they receive their news in small headlines, minimal characters on their iPhone. The problem with banks and corporations is the government. The more the government has gotten involved with anything they have made a tough situation worse.

  • Government involvement in the education system, has only made children less equipped for the future due to too much government involvement. The government has added too much political focus to education vs fundamentals/basics.
  • Prohibition created more crime, killed off (for the time period) major employers (liquor/beer industry), caused massive unemployment and economic issues.. next up Great Depression
  • Great Depression was created due to gov’t involvement in unions, prohibition, and banking.
  • Welfare problem, created by the gov’t trying to fix the economic situation they created, so they gave more to those who did nothing and expanded that over the course of decades, rewarding people for doing less or nothing.
  • Housing market.. gov’t insisted everyone should be able to buy a home, regardless if they could afford it. The boom & bust happened. The gov’t decided no one should lose their house due to inability to pay for it.. every time the gov’t thinks they have the answer our home values go down.
  • Unemployment, the gov’t thinks they know how to fix that so they tax the future to create jobs, that they never created.. unemployment went up.
  • Health care, gov’t thinks they have the answer, and we are already feeling the pain of what will come as costs increase, we are not even close to seeing what will happen next. (which will be clinic atmosphere, less care, etc)
  • Auto Industry, gov’t again felt they could fix it by taking our money to bail them out.. GM is costing taxpayers per the minute still.

The government is not (rather should not be) there to micromanage our lives. When people demand the gov’t step in and fix something it costs us greatly, and infinitely.

I was going to touch further on the concept of life and death, and went more into what is killing our country instead. In the back of my mind I had thoughts about discussing suicide, so let me touch on that for a moment. We have a country that allows women to kill their babies, and it is considered a right. The difference between murder and suicide is who you are killing. Why has our country seemed to defend murder, by supporting abortion, and denying death penalty? Yet suicide is treated as a crime. Why don’t people have the right to kill themselves? Why is it acceptable ok to kill another person, but not oneself? (And I used the word acceptable, since a murderer rarely receives proper punishment, or literally gets away with murder). This is something I just can not understand. If it is ok to have abortion clinics, why not suicide clinics? If any right of death should even be permitted it should be the right of a person to end their own life.

But going back to abortion.. when people say this is a right, and it is something a woman should be permitted to choose.. my thought is about that child. I grew up unwanted, so I have personal sympathy there. I also have tried to go through the adoption process to adopt a child, so understanding the adoption process, and people saying adoption is an alternative to abortion.. yes for infants it can be, but isn’t always. There are many children who are raised in the foster system, who age out, never adopted, from my own experience it is because it is a horrible system to work with (go figure it is a government entity). So the sad part for me is for a child to be brought into the world unwanted, and live that way. But is abortion and alternative to adoption? No. The problem I see is education. And not specifically the government entity of education but the rights and responsibilities the government has taken from parents to be able to raise and educate their children. The concept of family, along with our country, has decayed over the course of generations. It is rare to see close and loving families. It is the frayed family, the disconnect, the lack of communication, the lack of involvement, the lack of interest. Too many people have children, and they hand them over to the government to raise in one form or another, either by the foster system or by the education system. As we see more children raised by the government we also see more teen pregnancies, more babies treated like trash (via abortion, foster, or how they are raised).

So what is the alternative to abortion? That is simple, Family and less government. If people can form families again, and stop handing their children over to the government, stop allowing the schools to control them and their children, to stop allowing the tv to raise their children.. if these things can happen.. we can return abortions to medical necessity only. Women can stop using abortion as a birth control option. Women can have more respect for themselves, their bodies, their health, their lives, and the lives of others… those are the rights women have, and should enjoy.

Let me sum up… Abortion has been used as a women’s liberation tool, it has been treated like a trophy and something to be proud of, it has been called a right. Abortion is not a right, respect for self is a right. The ability to protect oneself, one’s body, those are rights.

The right and responsibility we have is our own self-respect, our own actions, our own future. To ever depend on others to make those things happen for us, and especially the entity of a government.. is a form of suicide, and we might as well make clinics for that too.

Obama’s RE-Run

Posted: October 6, 2011 in Uncategorized

Guy Benson has some highlights on Obama’s recent re-run press conference. So let’s see what is happen in the Nut-House..

No shock Obama jumped right on his “job-bill” push. Someone should tell him the horse is dead.. bury it. Even the Democrats are not supporting him on this, and apparently Reid wants to push his own over-tax the rich “solution” (for further twisting the knife into our economy). Benson adds (Reid’s plan) would make the “Occupy Wall Street” protestors all happy.

No doubt the reason why Obama is still pushing his “jobs-bill” is more of a campaign tool to say see the Republicans won’t play nice.. while drawing a curtain over the Democrats who are against that bill too. It seems this way because he keeps name calling and pointing fingers at the Republicans, what other reason than for his venom & spit campaign?

Obama offers horror of crumbling bridges, as a reason why he is begging for this new extension of credit. Makes you think of the person who got a home repair loan to fix their roof, but they built a pool and now complain they still need money to fix the roof.. oops we forgot about what we got the money for in the first place. So now he wants more, for the same reason he wanted it for before. And he calls those who oppose it “cynical”.. gee now why would that be?

Obama calls on economic experts to back him on his idea.. makse me think of Gore and his experts who backed him on his global warming hysteria

The next item was Obama’s quasi support of the “Occupy Wall Street” protestors, he lumped them with the American people, that the protestors show the frustration of the American people.. ahh ok Obama, we are frustrated, but it is with the Government. This makes me wonder if he orchestrated the protests since it fits with his agenda, he wants to tax the rich, he has had an ongoing attack against them.. so that makes me wonder if he may have some tie-in there, that it is basically his own personal demonstration? It just would not shock me.

Obama confirms he is an out of touch & oblivious president, by denying Eric Holder, as well as himself, knew anything about fast & furious… even though a variety of proof has been offered confirming Holder was completely aware. So if they were equally “unaware” we have solved the puzzle, they say things as opposites.

We need to create an Obama-dictionary.. flashing back to “above my pay grade” as one of Obama pre-white house campaign statements, and now he refers to his current issues as they “pre-date” him.. in other words “Bush did-it”, “it wasn’t me, it was Bush”. As Obama refers to the Solyndra scandal. Yet it has already been clearly pointed out, Bush declined Solyndra. Obama pulled it out of the trash & tossed  money & praise at it.

Obama also is using “bet” to refer to the bad choices he (keeps) making.. that they are just life. So how many other BETS will we be discovering? And then there is the China factor…

The president’s main point seemed to be that we can’t let China out-subsidize us on exploring and developing future clean technologies, so we must borrow more money from them to outspend them.  Wonderful.

And Obama keeps kissing the back-ends of our enemies (ie Pakistan), seems the more someone hates us the more he defends, and protects them?

In final.. I love Guy Benson’ summary” .

In summaryPass this bill.  It’s paid for.  Republicans have no ideas.  Mitch McConnell controls Congress.  Independent economists love it.  Millionaires and billionaires.  Fair share. Not my fault.  Japanese Tsunamis.  I didn’t know.  Bush.  Pah-kee-stahn.  Pass this bill. Is it 2012 yet?

Is a liberal always a liberal… is a conservative always a conservative?

I was pondering the state of California. I know many people out there, they are typically on the coastal part of California. While, I know New York City does not represent the state of New York, the city is just a pin dot on the state, sadly it is one nasty pin-dot. For California they have a larger infestation along their coast line. Even those who say they are conservatives are liberals. Perhaps they think they are being rebels against the known liberal element that infests their state? Maybe in comparison to the ultra liberal concentration, they are conservative just by contrast?

I think of one person who traveled with in her own state, to experience nice & helpful people.. so remarkable so that she had to say something about it. It is so easy to become tempered to attitudes, thought processes, etc.. when you are soaked in it for so long. I grew up on the east coast where foul language is used more frequently than a pronoun. So thinking of her response and surprise about nice and helpful people, I have confirmed that she very well likely is oblivious to the liberal make up of where she lives.

It is not a knock against her just a realistic observation. It is very easy to become drawn in and become what you are surrounded by, and never to be aware.

She has claimed to be a conservative, but she admits she knows nothing about politics, she is completely unaware of what is going on around her, and affecting her.. she opts for the ostrich approach to life (or perhaps a child’s closing their eyes to make it go away). When I discussed things with her, so many of her responses are dripping of what a liberal thinks, and yet her daughter claims to be a liberal and has proven she holds far more conservative points than she will ever admit.

It fascinates me, watching the human animal.. and the denial process.

I grew up in a very conservative part of the east coast, later moved to an extremely liberal area.. and in recent years moved to a very conservative area of the southwest.. so I have seen an amazing mix of conservatives & liberals. Where I grew up I held very liberal views.. maybe part because I was young, maybe because I was rebelling against what the common thread was, maybe a little of both. But observing, witnessing, thinking, and knowing more about what is going on is what gave me a more conservative stand on things.. yet I am not 100% conservative, but if I have to claim one or the other I will claim conservative if someone needs to place me one side of the line or another.

Some of the things that make me see that person as a liberal, one is she duck & covers when it comes to hearing or knowing what is happening around her.. she is more willing to hand over her rights and life to someone else’s control. She knows no different from clinic style health care, and is oblivious she could have better, she just goes with what she is told… obediently. If she votes, I am sure it is an eenie-meanie-miny-moe vote, where she does not know anything about her choices.. she just picks at random.

So yes I see liberals as content to have their lives controlled by their government, they want less responsibility, less thinking. They do not want to be troubled by all of that. They see the police as their personal protectors, and are content to hand over their rights and freedom. They feel everything should be handed to them. They are “happy” to live as a ostrich, sticking their head in the and and remaining  in denial about everything in the world around them.. that they can live in a world of peace if they just simply do not know what is really going on.. a liberal’s philosophy: ignorance is bliss.

Remember that union members often are liberals. And if they “think” they are conservatives, ask them a few questions and the truth will be revealed. They really do not think they can survive without the union. The union is controlling their lives, their jobs, their pay, and politics. They have no decisions of their own, no thoughts, no freedom.

Question.. but when you see protestors they are often liberals. True, maybe it is because they are bored and it is more of a social thing. Maybe they feel all rebellious when they do it, so it pushes part of their liberal barriers. But they rarely know what they are protesting they are often handled by an organizer who gives them their sign and tells them where to sit, stand walk, or shout. It is not a freedom or rebellious thing, it is a very controlled event.

This also ties into the election we are just over a year away.. never trust a Democrat is a Democrat, or a Republican is a Republican. They are both politicians pure & simple.. what needs to be reviewed is their past, present and their actions. Sadly too many people are fixed on the label and will vote along that line ONLY, they will not know who they voted for, or why… just like too many people did in 2008, they had no idea what Obama was, and many still don’t.

My suggestion for life.. read MORE than just the label!

Get over yourself.

Posted: October 6, 2011 in Uncategorized

Have you ever had one of those moments where you just want to slap someone & say to them “Get over yourself”?

Why do some people get so wrapped up in some things and take any response deep & personal? Like a persons attachment to politics or political member, or some charity.

Just thinking of someone who went ballistic over my inquiry on where her charity stands, how is it backed, and verifying  how long it had been around.

Why would I ask? Because NO charity should be funneled through the government (automatically gives a political facet to the organization no matter what). No charity should involve people just dumping cash and never being aware of where it goes. Too many times that ends up in the wrong hands, sometimes terrorists, rebels, or people who are out to hurt those the donater’s good will is out to help.

This individual also stated she had been supporting this organization for about 6 years.. but there is no information that goes back more than 2 years. What I did find is they have no one who is running the organization, so no one you can contact, and no one really handling what goes where to whom & when.

Also looking at a charity that is filtered through our government, that makes me wonder why our government is not focused on what is happening here. Why our government is focused on hurting the farmers, regulating them to death.. all these things in turn kill the farmer and kill the economy. Our government is responsible for OUR country, and at the rate it is going we are going to be in need of other nations’ charity… but who will do that? Why does our country need to be so charitable anyhow? I think likely our country just feels guilty for any success, and in denial about any current failure.. this country is trying to compensate.

Alas her friends and other supporters attacked me for my questions.

But did they review their organization, do they know who/what they are supporting? I doubt it when they do not even realize that it is handled by the US State Department and was organized during the 2009 G8 conference. This is very-very political, and they chose to attack vs think.

Alas.. (slap) “Get over yourself!”

I know some people prefer to live in denial, they do not want to ever admit they are wrong. When I ask a question I am looking for the other person’s input (this is how a person learns and expands), and if an idea/thought differs from my own.. I will be happy to review the facts or listen to that opposing theory. Sadly too many people do not subscribe to that type of thinking, and just opt to have a tantrum.

Again.. to those individuals “Get Over Yourself!”

So yes this whole issue irks me, and yes I am sure I lose people from my life due to such issues, but I constantly tread lightly, I constantly bite my tongue avoiding saying what I want to say, or asking what I want to ask, or offering my input. I realized in turn I am also surpressing who I am. I am sick and tired of having to do that.. and if someone does not like that, that is their problem not mine.
