Obama’s Latest Reality Check

Posted: May 11, 2011 in Uncategorized

At the beginning of last week Bin-Laden was finally found, shot & killed. A frenzy started up, people elated, the media salivating expecting this would make 2012 a shoe-in for Obama. I felt the bin-laden killing would be short-lived, and thankfully we already see the proof of that.. just over a week later.

The Rasmussen Reports Overall, 48% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance. Fifty-one percent (51%) disapprove.

Wednesday shows that 25% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12 (see trends).

Consumer confidence fell for the second straight day suggesting that the bin Laden bounce may be over.

Just a couple of days ago, evidence was surfacing the economy was still more of a concern vs bin-laden. Obama likely has not realized yet that issues at home have the highest priority. For many Americans they see bin-laden as an overseas issue, not something directly affecting our country, and that is regardless of terrorism.. people forget, people won’t connect to terrorism until it truly hits home (and not just our soil). So the biggest enemy for Americans right now is the economy.

Of course Obama has never been concerned about defending America, it has been about his perpetual campaign, it is about politics…  check this out from Michelle Malkin:

This is not, and never has been, about homeland security. This is not, and never has been, about economic security. It’s about political security, plain and cynical.

Remember immigration issue is part of homeland security, which relates to terrorist issues.. but too many forget, too many don’t care.  Michelle Malkin talks about liberals who are trying to push again on the “Dream Act” which would basically open all doors to illegals to become citizens by using our colleges. Note Obama sees that as helping our economy, yet it instead boosts the debt. But lets set that aside.. check out the final lines from Michelle’s article.. this should be the key point to immigration issues..

Meanwhile, law enforcement witnesses told a House subcommittee last month that border smuggling has grown so out of control that federal prosecutors are simply declining to pursue cases. Cochise County, Arizona, Sheriff Larry Dever testified about the feds’ so-called “Turn Back South” policy — which includes lowering thresholds for drug and smuggling prosecutions, and permitting border-crossers at least seven strikes before being charged with immigration misdemeanors. And just last week, the General Accounting Office reported another massive 1.6 million illegal visa overstayers backlog — a problem exposed by five of the 19 September 11 hijackers who benefited from systemic failure to enforce visa regulations.

So much for “never forget.”

Could it be he is a pompous windbag??

While Rasmussen still showed improved numbers for Obama over the past week, his approval improved his disapproval went down.. but like the housing market, all bubbles must burst.. From:  Obama’s Poll: Highs & Lows NBC News 5/9/11

WASHINGTON— In the days after Barack Obama ordered the successful mission to kill Osama bin Laden, the president’s approval rating on foreign policy issues reached an all- time high, even as public opinion regarding his handling of the economy sunk to the lowest point of his administration, according to a new NBC News poll

But here’s what hasn’t changed: Just a third of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction; less than four in 10 approve of Obama’s handling of the U.S. economy; and nearly 70 percent think the economy will get worse or stay the same in the next year.

“This is a poll that should both fortify the president and frighten the president as he looks ahead to re-election,” said Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff.

I finally figured out why he has the youth vote.

It is called the “Obama Drinking Game”.

It is similar to “Beer Wreck” for those who might be familiar with the Star Trek drinking game.

Simple version has you taking a drink every time Obama says “I”, “me”, “myself”, etc.

You can imagine that people acchieve oblivious quickly.

    I different version is:
